What payment methods do you support?
Residents can make pay their rent online or via text message with a credit card or eCheck (an electronic draft from their checking account). They also have the option of making cash payments at retail stores like Ace Cash Express and 7/11.

How do I let my residents know that they can pay with cash?
If you choose to let your residents pay with cash, we’ll help you get the word out by providing you with door hangers and direct mail pieces that explain the process to your tenants.

Can I charge a convenience fee for credit card and eCheck payments to offset the cost of a merchant account?
Yes. We let you charge convenience fees on payments made by both credit card and eCheck.

How does the money get deposited into my account?
After you sign up for Resident Portal, HousingManger.com will issue a daily deposit into your account.

Do I have to upload my residents’ Social Security numbers in order to useResident Portal?
No. All you need to set up Resident Portal is the resident’s last name, tenant/account number and the amount owed.

Can I place holds on accepting payments from a specific resident?
Yes.

Can I use this if I don’t have accounts receivable software?
Yes. Set up the rent payments one time and HousingManager.com will automatically charge your residents rent on the first of the month.

Can I integrateResident Portal with other software?
Yes, we will integrate with any service provider. Please contact us for more information.

Are there any additional fees? Do I have to sign a contract?
No. All you have to do to use Resident Portal is have a HousingManager.com merchant account.
